 Javascript issue alert!
Posted by Kuro-chan - August 28th, 2012
I just received information of a disturbing vulnerability in javascript that can wreck some serious destruction on Windows, Linux and MAC users.

The article link

Kuro-RPG does require limited javascript support to submit content (posts, material, etc.) because of how the Submission Fields are now handled. However, Kuro-RPG does not and will not support any malicious code on this site.

To block scripts on your end, I have information / suggestions.

Opera Users: Type opera: plugins(no space) in the Run 'bar'. Uncheck everything with the word "Jave" in it.

Firefox / Seamonkey users: Download No Script. This is a very useful and practical script that prevents all javascript from loading onto your browser page unless you authorize it. I cannot stress enough how useful this is!

^ Also, with this, you can leave Kuro-RPG permanently authorized!

You can also block the IP in your hosts file manually, if you wish. X P users should have no problems doing this, but I have heard of issues with 7 users.

C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts file.

Note: Thank you to Eliana Tamerin for noting a very obvious and bad error on my part.

Trying to reply to an email.

I just received an email from "Aio" asking about Star Wars ranksets. Since I did not receive a valid email to reply, I am left to reply on here.

My response:

Click me to see some Star Wars ranks that have been made.

 Tinkering with something...?
Posted by Kuro-chan - June 14th, 2012
Hi hi.

I have had suggestions over a long (and recent) time to try and setup some kind of search engine system. It is still rather crude and can only handle one word at the moment, but I have run some tests and found it is possible to get some results. I believe it is something I can improve on over time.

Also, thanks to the superior storage skills of my provider, he managed to fix a rather nasty "Oops" I made on the site. I accidentally overwrote the index page for the forum. He fixed it. Go Dan!

 Metroid Remix
Posted by Emperor - June 11th, 2012
Hello everyone! This is Emperor, resident game maker, with an announcement regarding a project me and Kuro-chan have been hard at work with for over a year now. The second demo of our Metroid fangame, Metroid Remix, has been officially released today. We've submitted it to Kuro-RPG along with updating it at its main site, so make sure to check it out under the games submission page. For more information about the project and the demo, you can visit the project website at A lot of work has been put into the demo, and there are a ton of improvements over the past one. (Which you can also find here.) That's about it, enjoy the game!

There will be a downtime in the next 3-4 days while I update the forums to 3.3.2. I just have to wait until I have time or my days off arrive, whichever comes first hehe.

Much love ladies!

If you're seeing this, you're on the new server. We're done.
Thanks for bearing with us, and enjoy.

Kuro-RPG is being moved to a better server today. Over the next few hours, if you make a post or upload, and it disappears, please repost it. While no bugs are expected during this move, if you find any report them to Kuro-Chan.
See you all on the other side.
With the Warrant Officer Duty Insignia...
Posted by RPG-Insignias - May 24th, 2012
...I'm finally, finally done! Starting with the Bajoran insignia on March 25th, 2010, to today, it has been 2 years, 2 months to reverse engineer all of the editing I did originally with Steve's blessing to return his entire work to its original condition. And it took half the time than it did for me to make the full collar insignias. I want to thank Kuro for having the interest in Steve's work and wanting to have it preserved, since Steve is, sadly, not around anymore-where he went, we know not but we all wish him well. And based on the page views, I want to thank you all for your continued interest in his work. That makes the last 2 years completely worth it.

Keeper of the flame. OWWWWW!!!!! IT BURNS!!!!
