Website Updates and News
 Forums Operational... Kinda
Posted by Heyallo - April 12th, 2011
Hi folks! its that time of the week (no not really lol), but I just wanted to give you all a heads up that our forums are on the way to being ready for public use again.

I've donated my Invision Power Board license for use by the community here at Kuro-RPG and I hope you will all enjoy some of the new features it has once I've got it set up properly.

Currently, registrations are closed and the board itself is offline (if you click the forum link in the menu, it will only take you to the offline message) until we can hopefully integrate the login/user system with the website so you don't have to remember 2 sets of login info hehe.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now since I need to sleep for work later today.

 More stuff and more Kuro...

Got the following done:

- A lot of odds and ends pages done up today
- Made some upgrades and fixed to several index pages
- Got the music editor done
- Got the contact page up. Since my provider does not have an email client yet, I have it linked to my hotmail temporarily.

UPDATE: Also finished the Information page and moved a couple things from the "Terms" page over to it. Seemed to make more sense there.

 Music?
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 10th, 2011
... Yes.

There is a Music Submission section. Anyone with an account can now submit original works to Kuro-RPG for listening and downloading!

On another note...

The comments section for each viewers have been temporary disabled until I figure out why it's not working...

 Flash Page Semi-down
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 9th, 2011
Hi.

Flash Movie Page is semi-down for some serious reconstruction.

UPDATE: Flash Move Page is back online, but I will be making the same edits to the Rankset Section. Expect some fluctuations / downtime.

UPDATE: Guest Ranks Viewer and Profile pages are back up and running again.

 Rough day.
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 8th, 2011
I ended up with an emergency trip to the hospital because my old man was taken in by ambulance, so it was a bit difficult to get much done.

I managed to start some work in the community section, inter-connecting the profile pages by gender, team colour and rank. Still a lot to do, but a little a day at a time helps.

Thank you to Jonesy for submitting the first new rankset we have had in a while.

Artists: please feel free to submit stuff AND advertise it through the available update boxes along the bottom of these kind of pages!

UPDATE: I also fixed a problem with the update poster. Somehow, it was submitting an update twice... I found out why and fixed it.

Metroid Remix has been made public.
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 6th, 2011
The game project I have been working on for some time was made public tonight.

Metroid Remix Website

I have been busy contributing a LOT to make this game possible, notably graphics and music. (Plus it was my idea to begin with... )

It may be difficult to get updates in for the next little while as there is a ton of stuff to push and get a more official demo available. I also plan to host it here, for convenience.

 Registration Page Works!
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 3rd, 2011
Woo! Yes! Woo-hoo! Etc.!

That page had been bugging me for a while now. It is possible to register and get involved with Kuro-RPG, messaging, offering comments and contributing in general. For now, I have decided to hold off on freely allowing submissions.

If you are interested in submitting something to this site, try to get in hold of me with samples and I will definitely consider it.

Also, the following was worked on:
- Added the Archives page. Devised a system to sort through 20 updates at a time.
- Fixed an issue with the Popup menu. Graphics in the Profile page would overlap the popup. Now it is the other way, where it should be.
- Enhanced the options for changing Profiles for registered users.

In the meantime, happy ranking.

 More chatty material.
Posted by Kuro-chan - April 3rd, 2011
And more serious material too. I was on the older comp today, so a lot of what I worked on was graphics-related instead of code-related.

- Rank system in the profile pages works. It compiles all the stuff a user has submitted to Kuro-RPG and dishes out a Points Count and rank based on that. Not all the fields for compiling the information are done yet as I am still missing a few sections, but that will be updated as we go along. A good sample of this can be found Here!
- Gender profiles are complete. Courtesy of Heyallo, there is now a 5th gender column... Yes, a 5th!
- More "Kuro Girls" sprites completed.

Eventually I am thinking of putting in a proper background image for the website. It will probably be another uniformed Kuro posing in an ... angle, or way or something...

 Sorry about that...

I did not realize I left an error in the Guest Rankset Viewing page. It has been fixed now.

I have been going through all my pages, tinkering with bits and pieces of the scripts to make room for the Registration page.

 Found out something fun...
Posted by Kuro-chan - March 31st, 2011
I was going through an issue on why some of my posts in the editors had extra spaces and some did not. It looks it has to do with how the data is submitted to the database. This (current) server setup does not remove line breaks in-between data, while previous versions did. That means either:
- When anyone needs to edit a submission that occurred under a previous host, they will need to add their line spaces back into their submissions. (It will be fixed after one submission)
- I go through and try to redo every single database entry to include lines... (oh boy...)

As for my updates:
- Flash Submission is done and tested.
- Flash Submission Editor is done but is still untested.
- Secured the Flash and Rankset Submission Editor pages. There was a bug in it that could let anyone registered edit them.
- More Profile editing. Included Team Colours and shuffled things around a bit.

Later!
