Website Updates and News
Happy Belated Birthday to myself. So, I am sitting here drinking this icky yucky clear-green stuff and I am thinking to myself "Just who in their right mind would actually buy this? It tastes awful!" Luckily, there is lots of lemonade to help kill the taste!

Battlestar Galactica ranks got an overhaul. I posted a Revised set which makes good use of alpha channels. Like the old set, they are available with collars, and as pips-only.

I finished revising Shadow Warrior Luke's guest section again. Now it includes an old comic project he started on a while ago.

Additional referrences to the now non-existent forums has been removed from more pages.

It's supposed to be bedtime, not site time.

The forums have been removed from Kuro-RPG leaving just the website available. I left my contact information options available should someone need to try to contact me. Thanks to Shawn for putting so much recent effort into trying to stabilize the forum, but unfortunately it's impossible to revive a dead community. If the forums come back, it won't be for a very long time, to say the least.
Okay, so I am a Jerk and have sunk the site to a new low... And I care why?

I have changed the content of the information page. I have mentioned before on the page that I am not taking requests, but I am going to make this even more clear on the information page as I have removed any comments made in the "Link to Me" information as well.

I have started to add Shadow Warrior Luke's work onto the site. I put on his Valentine's Special on some time ago, but I added in some of his other work to the site as well.

Umm... Where exactly have I been?

Sometimes I am not even sure myself, but I tried to get at least one update here this year.

In short though, it's been a busy few months for me, and my relative "want" to work on this site has been very low with about three or four times I have considered just closing the forum or both the forum and site, especially with some of the nasty emails I have been getting as to why the special test with the DS9 set I did some time ago was not finished. To sum it up, it's tough work and I have to customize every single rank with that to try and make it work... it's rather discouraging, especially when people bug and nag and threatened and flame and other stuff. (I'm talking about 50 emails, if you can believe it, and only very few of them were polite). This is not some high-paying job here, folks! IF I choose to work on anything, it is done on MY free time. I pay for the site out of either MY pocket of with the few donations that generously come in.

To complicate matters, work has been an absolute hell the last three months, with my boss threatening me, screaming at me, yelling at me, playing the complete "Ignore Me" routine, threatening me with suspension and a ton of other crap from both boss and other people I am stuck working around... To think of the level of incompetence, it's practically unbelieveable. I am not sure if she will read this, but a special thank you to my co-worker Theresa. You really have no idea how big a help you have been. You have helped keep me relatively sane and grateful that at least someone there can give a damn about me, or else I probably would have quit, tried something stupid and either been in the hospital or dead. Again, thank you.

I did post a new rankset on the site. It's a small set of Dominion ranks for Jem'Hadar units. It can found in the Trek Rank section.

Anything else, well I may or may not be around. I should be getting around to emails eventually. Ja na

 Alright, something different!

I have completed a test for a run of DS9 ranks using alpha channels. Essentially, this set will be able to work with any background color, wether it is black, grey, blue, white or maybe even plaid... Feedback on plaid might be a good idea. The test is available on the ranks page. (Situated with the other DS9 sets)
I REEEEALLY need to update the front page once in a while...

Okay, the site is revised, and it looks very very purple. In addition, there were a few minor changes to the page layouts, mostly with the update archives and the rank pages. A couple tiny ranksets were added on, and lots and lots of side buttons were added on.

Also, please don't forget to update your links to the site. I still see some sites still using the old link with the (.com) ending, instead of the (.net) ending... It leads to a dead link, even though it's under my name, I can't get it and I won't be able to touch it until it expires next April... grr...

 Box Test
Posted by Kuro-chan - September 3rd, 2007
I am testing the revised Updates page to see how it looks with the new box style.
 And they are back up.

Figures... Within 10 minutes of me posting this notice, everything goes back to normal.
 Forums are currently down.

The forums are down at the moment. I have no explanation for why but they will be back up as soon as possible.
 Just a teeny-tiny minor update

The Voyager Special Edition set got an addition: Flag Officer ranks. Yes, I know they are not canon (but that does not stop people from asking me and asking me and asking me about them) so they are now available as a seperate .zip or part of the complete .zip.

Reminder to everyone using Kuro-RPG ranks: PLEASE update your link and contact information to include the change in email and domain name. Please refer to the Information Page for details on what you can use.
