 BB Code is online!
Posted by Kuro-chan - January 30th, 2015 - 21:26
For account holders who want to post stuff on the main page, their profile box, post replies AND the forum, BB code can now be implemented.

Beside the post box will be a list of supported tags. This list is subject to change at any time (AKA I can add and customize stuff, if needed). The Quote tag required a little more work since I have to handle quote boxes in quote boxes, but I took advantage of the special code I built for that and it should be working fine (All my tests show it did).

Enjoy!

Hmm... Apparently, someone was talking about me.

Hi hi.

I was forwarded a link about what is going on at Anodyne Productions. I was mentioned.

I'm a Linky! Click me!

Hopefully, we will see if the 'split' concept actually takes off a little more. I won't lie: It IS less hassle to make a rankset when I do not have to save as many individual images...

 Hooray for Rankset Users!

Confusedfire (Someone I know from Bravo Fleet) was kind enough to not only point out an alignment issue with one of my ranksets, but also took it upon himself to fix it and send me the corrected version. I looked it over and sure enough it was fine, so I applied the fix to the Alternate Style #1 Set (Split Edition, not intrgated).

Thank you!

 I am Error... or Bug...

I found an error in one of James Arnhem's ranksets. For some reason one of his .rar links was trying to direct to an image file, rather than the proper source. It has been fixed. Why it did this, I am not sure, but I have not seen this with any of the other guest work, so it might have been slip-up on my part...

It should be working now.

Also, figured out why I was having issues with a rating system I was trying to get working. It would show up on the individual rank pages, but not on the main page. Now it does.

Another "Responding to an Email" time...?!
Posted by Kuro-chan - January 17th, 2015 - 04:03
This is... getting odd. Two back-to-back emails and unable to send a reply to either of them. On a hunch, I asked a few people to send me test emails and I was able to reply to all of them without any problems, so I do not think the problem is on my end.

Anyhow, as per site policy, if I cannot reply by email, I will post my reply here.

Hi Carlos.

Most ranksets on Kuro-RPG are based on an existing sci-fi /anime or
other storyline and we have very little (if any) in the way of original
works, since there is very little demand for such a thing. As it is, I
am not sure what I could suggest to help out with this story. I know I
do not have anything for that. Maybe you would have better with some of
the guest submissions?

Sorry.

Sincerely,
Kuro-chan.

 "Responding to an Email" time.

I received an email, and have been unable to send a reply, despite multiple attempts at doing so. As per site policy, I will post my reply here:

Dear StarSword,

I have indeed been made aware of the Odyssey uniform style set by Star Trek Online. As it stands, I find myself hesitant to work on such a set, due to the (in my opinion) excessive number of variants that exist. Combine that with the considerable number of department colours I would be required to do, it would end up dwarfing every other set in existence on my site, and then some. The investment required to make this would be quite considerable, to put it mildly.

Sincerely,
Kuro-chan.

Granted, having donations (like the last awesome one I just got) is definitely a step in the right direction to encourage me to work on such things.

Woo! Huge donation just came in!
Posted by Kuro-chan - January 8th, 2015 - 06:55
So I am "Yay" and "Happy" and "WOOO!" aaaand "YES! YES!!! YEEEESSS!" ... and other useful descriptions.

Now if I just figure out who made the donation, the more power for me.

UPDATE:I have been informed the person who submitted the donation goes by "cofctrekkie". He is awesome!

TOS Reboot, 2230's integrated set is finished. I re-designed most of the pips and the backgrounds, incorporated those changes into the split/NOVA set and updated/included a sample image to go with them. I did not like the 'rough' texture of the uniforms before, especially since that design is inconsistent with how they appeared in the movies...

Kurojack, my 3rd mini-game, is now online. You will require an account to play it, since it deals with Kuro coins. (For which there is still nothing to spend it on, yet. One thing at a time, Kuro... One thing at a time.

I am starting to re-establish the voting system again. Unlike the last time, not only do you require an account, but you will also be limited to one vote per submission. The database does tracks which account votes where, to ensure we do not have a repeat of what happened with the older setup.

Heyallo is also demanding I make more smileys. Apparently, I need a hug smiley. This sounds pretty serious...
